As a Production Flight Test and Instructor Pilot at Robinson Helicopter, you will have the opportunity to train pilots in the safe operation of the most widely used civil helicopters in the world as well as conducting production flight tests to ensure the safety and quality of our products. As a pilot at Robinson Helicopter, you are a part of a team focused on safety while providing excellence to our customers. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: · Deliver professional flight and ground instruction in Robinson helicopters (R22, R44, R66), ensuring consistency and adherence to company training standards. · Evaluate student performance through structured assessments, provide constructive feedback, and tailor individualized training plans to support student success. · Comply with department processes and standard operating procedures to ensure flight operations are accomplished with high levels of safety, effectiveness, consistency, and efficiency. · Teach according to the established curriculum while maintaining high standards of professionalism and instructional quality. · Perform production test flights and ground inspections to evaluate aircraft systems, performance, and handling, to ensure adherence to Type Design and Robinson Helicopter quality criteria. · Accurately maintain records and compliance documentation in a timely manner in accordance with company policies and FAA requirements. · Remain current with FAA regulations, industry’s best practices, and Robinson helicopter operational standards. · Work closely with fellow pilots, instructors, and staff to ensure a cohesive operating environment and contribute to the development and improvement of flight operations. · Maintain a thorough knowledge of appropriate aircraft models, systems, avionics, equipment, options, product changes, and updates. · Provide ideas and input regarding continuous improvements to products and processes. Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. · Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot in Command helicopter time with a minimum of 300 hours of dual instruction given in Robinson helicopters (R22 and/or R44). · FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate. · FAA Certified Helicopter Flight Instructor(CFIH) · SFAR 73 Flight Instructor endorsement for the R22 and R44. · Current Flight Review endorsement in the R22 and R44. · Current FAA 1st or 2nd Class Medical Certificate. · Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport. · Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, approachable manner. · Strong understanding of FAA Parts 61 and 91. · Demonstrated ability to prioritize and maintain safe practices in training and flight operations. · Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and work well with others. · Able to work irregular hours and workdays, and travel periodically. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university Other Competency Requirements Include: · Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII). · Significant experience in multiple makes and models of rotorcraft. · Prior experience in production flight testing or maintenance flight testing. · A background in aviation maintenance or avionics.
