Description
General · Advanced knowledge of machine operations. · Working knowledge of ALL machines including but not limited to: starts, stops, cooling water controls, adding blow agent. · Able to fill in for any operator or lead when needed. · Makes process adjustments to improve cycle time, product quality, heat adjustments. · Reads work order and specifications to determine job specifications such as type and quantity of spools, pallet types, stacking patterns and others. · Deposits materials into bins manually or using hoist. · Enters commands to retrieve and activate preprogrammed instructions from computer. · Performs prescribed quality control inspections, audits and ensures appropriate tracking. · Troubleshoot and diagnose minor machine and robot operational problems. · Observes robotic operation and monitors machine controller for malfunctions and error messages. · Performs all 6S functions. · May perform machine maintenance, such as cleaning or changing injection and vacuum filters. · May assist or perform testing procedures for changes to materials and finished goods. · Be a good example to co-workers, regarding work ethic, teamwork, attendance, safety and quality. · Attends and participates in the morning meetings with employees at shift change; assist in improving training matrix processes. · May be required to become certified and operate a variety of forklifts. Physical Demands/Requirements · Must be able to stand, stoop, reach, grasp, sit or stand for long periods of time, and lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs. safely. · Noise level in materials area at times can be loud and requires hearing protection. · Must be willing and able to abide by all safety policies. · Standard hazards within a manufacturing plant where safety precautions and personal protective equipment must be maintained at all times.
