Description
Description As an In-Process Quality Technician at Betts Precision, you'll be a key member of our Quality team — ensuring parts meet spec where it matters most: right at the machine. Rather than waiting for parts to hit the inspection bench, you’ll move between CNC machines, performing spot checks and in-process inspections. You’ll use tools like micrometers, calipers, gauges, and vision systems to verify critical features during production. Your job helps catch issues early, support less experienced machinists, and keep production flowing with confidence. This hands-on, proactive role is essential to our commitment to quality, especially in our shop supporting newer team members. About Us Betts Precision is a family-owned medical device manufacturer focused on creating a safe, engaging workplace where team members can grow technically and personally. We’re proud to help raise the bar in the medical industry when it comes to quality, service, and creativity — and it’s all thanks to people like you. Learn more at www.bettsprecision.com What You’ll Be Doing Perform on-the-floor spot inspections of CNC machined parts throughout production Communicate directly with machinists to offer feedback or support on quality concerns Use standard inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and vision systems Record accurate data for traceability and continuous improvement Act as a quality presence on the floor — proactively identifying and addressing issues Collaborate with the Quality team and Production team to maintain high standards Contribute to a culture of problem-solving, precision, and accountability Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on manufacturing inspection experience Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading Proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, and visual inspection tools Comfortable working on the shop floor and interacting with machinists 1–2 years of CMM experience (preferred, not required) Familiarity with Zeiss and Hexagon CMM systems (a plus) Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) What We’re Looking For A great attitude and a willingness to learn Curiosity and drive to ask questions and improve every day Creativity and confidence to propose better ways of doing things A team player who wants to build others up, not just punch a clock Benefits 401(k) with company match Paid holidays and vacation Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Supportive work culture focused on growth and safety
