Description
Description Responsible for the production and assembly of medical devices, subassemblies, and consumables. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, included but not limited to: Assemble sub-components and devices in accordance with Standard Operation Procedure (SOPs) and assembly instructions. Read and interpret engineering drawings to pull correct hardware and assemble devices. Identify and pull appropriate parts from inventory per work order Bill of Material (BOM). Work with Quality Control department for inspection and testing of devices and sub-assemblies. Test Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) per SOP instructions. Use proprietary software to test and calibrate devices. Identify and communicate quality concerns with urgency. Test devices in accordance with approved SOPs. Clean and calibrate Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) equipment as scheduled. Performs inventory cycle counts. Assist with annual and semi-annual inventory count. Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Comply with Company policies, Quality Management System (QMS) and Standard Operation Procedure (SOPs). OTHER FUNCTIONS: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures are followed; Maintain clean and safe work area. Assist as needed in other areas of the Company where training requirements have been completed. Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. TRAVEL: None. Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or its equivalent. Legally authorized to work in the United States. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Mechanical or electronic assembly experience. Demonstrated ability to read and follow drawings, assembly instructions and SOPs. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook. Experience in a cGMP or regulated environment. Prior manufacturing experience. BASIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Detail oriented, accurate, efficient, and accountable. Skilled in soldering, working with small tools and parts etc. Proven ability to meet deadlines; work in a fast-paced environment. Initiative to offer new innovative ideas and improve processes. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. Project a positive company image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, vendors and/or management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; displays a professional attitude. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively; good written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to read and interpret work related documents, procedures, and manuals. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. VISUAL ACUITY: Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and reading. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to wear and work in personnel protective equipment (PPE) as required. Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities. Often stand for prolonged periods of time; Occasionally sitting for periods of time. Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech. Constant repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Dexterity and coordination are necessary to handle small components, hardware, and electronics. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally move about inside the facility to access office machinery, correspond with other departments, attend meetings/training, etc. Occasionally reaching for items above and below desk level. ? Occasionally climbing ladder, squatting, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS: Regularly exposed to moving mechanical and electrical parts and equipment. Occasionally exposed to heat generated by soldering stations. The noise level in the work environment is low. Well lit, heated/air-conditioned indoor setting with adequate ventilation. Occasionally exposed to biohazards, fumes, and other airborne particles.
