Description Veneer Technologies is seeking motivated college students for a hands-on Production Internship. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience during the spring and/or summer while learning about the manufacturing industry. Responsibilities: · Shadow leadership to understand manufacturing workflows and production processes. · Learn about quality metrics and assist teams in meeting improvement goals. · Observe and learn to operate various machinery used in the plant. · Support management with inventory, production flow, and efficiency improvements. · Contribute to special projects such as process optimization, lean initiatives, and safety improvements. · Apply academic skills in data analysis, engineering, or business to improve operations. Requirements · Must have completed at least one year of study at a four-year accredited college or university. · Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication, with strong interpersonal skills. · Proven ability to collaborate effectively within team environments. · Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. · Must reside in or be willing to temporarily relocate to Newport, NC, for the duration of the internship; housing accommodations may be provided. · Capable of lifting and transporting a minimum of 25 pounds. · Able to remain on feet for extended periods, up to 10-hour shifts. · Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment that is not climate-controlled.
