Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for daily scheduling of orders received from Sales, checking inventory, preparing production documents, and finished production data entry. This position reports to the Production Scheduling Manager.

  • Perform duties following all company policies and GMPs
  • Understand and execute food safety and HACCP practices and protocols
  • Pull orders and work with Sales Department to ensure orders are scheduled and produced to meet customer’s needs and specification requirements
  • Establish and review production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure required safety stock is met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
  • Manage inventory for the plant in relation to established inventory levels on product and packaging
  • Accurately prepare production packets from the production schedule
  • Input completed production into database system and scan for record retention
  • Filing all production and shipping paperwork
  • Answering phones to schedule incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Other duties as required by the production scheduling manager

Requirements:

  • Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word required
  • Good customer service
  • Well organized with attention to detail
  • Team oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
