Job Title: Production Kitchen Supervisor
Location: 1623 Pandora Street (Relocating to 8383 Crompton Street in September)
Reports to: Operations Manager
Pay: $22 per hour
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Kitchen Supervisor plays a key role in overseeing daily production operations, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and workplace safety. This role involves supervising and supporting production staff, monitoring processes and equipment, and fostering a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous supervisory experience in a food production or commercial kitchen environment.
· Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and workplace safety practices.
· Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
· Ability to train, coach, and motivate a diverse team.
· Able to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs.
· Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
· First-Aid certification is an asset.
· Forklift licence an asset.
· Supervise and coordinate kitchen and production staff to maintain workflow, efficiency, and productivity.
· Establish methods to meet work schedules and oversee daily production operations.
· Requisition food and kitchen supplies; ensure sufficient ingredients and materials for production.
· Ensure all products meet quality control, food safety, and workplace safety standards.
· Maintain accurate production, wastage, and compliance records; prepare reports as required.
· Train, orient, and develop staff in job duties, sanitation, safety procedures, and SOP compliance.
· Communicate work safety, food safety, and quality messages effectively during shift huddles and meetings.
· Monitor equipment and processes; address issues and support troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
· Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Shipping/Receiving, Maintenance and all production teams to ensure seamless operations.
· Participate in workplace safety initiatives, inspections, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, safety, and product quality.
· Oversee sanitation of the production area and equipment, including end-of-shift sanitation when required.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
