THE ROLE

This role is the go-to person when it comes to anything the KOMI Studios Entertainment Team produces. Using your production, storytelling and leadership expertise, you will support your team in turning demand into engaging digital content for some of the world’s biggest creators and social publishing brands.
As a confident and independent Senior Hybrid Producer, with exceptional skills in self shooting, directing, budgeting and workload planning, you will lead and line manage a team of Content Producers - helping solve problems with the team itself in addition to internal and external stakeholders. A typical week will consist of 40% producing content, 40% supporting the HoD with strategic support (including budgeting, reporting and target performance tracking) and 20% line management and support to the Entertainment Team.
In this forward-thinking leadership role, you will ensure we are delivering and catering for what every unique creator is looking for from their original content, ensuring we are always delivering the best quality for our audiences and our Creators.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serving the Team: Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to problem solve and continually drive quality - with a pragmatic solutions-focused mindset and a forward-thinking attitude.
  • Oversee and Mentoring: As one of the most experienced members of the team and a bridge between the producers and Head of Studios, use your influence and experience positively and influentially to ensure the team are learning and growing. Use your knowledge and leadership and oversee the others workload, budgets and scheduling, to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Incentivise your Team: With support from Head of Studios, you will need to motivate and inspire your producers to work towards their targets, with a clear focus on quality, and the end goal is clear and communicated with ease.
  • Schedule Management: Be responsible for building the Entertainment workload for your team, ensuring the team schedule is accurate, ensuring workload is evenly distributed and time is managed, kept up to date, accurate and reliable and all changes are communicated across the team and make sense.
  • Pre Production: Plan productions meticulously to ensure a smooth running shoot, ensuring that all documentation - including storyboarding, call sheets, risk assessments and so on, is in place, locations and talent are sourced, budgets are kept under control, and PPMs are chaired.
  • Production & Shooting: Confidence and knowledge in the ability to self-shoot content on iPhone and on camera, ensuring great composition, lighting, and audio, and ensure your team are fully equipped and trained, understanding what it takes to create higher level production in a studio or on location and using best practice at all times, and health and safety is adhered to always.
  • Post Production: Ensure yourself and your team are always organised, with timely footage downloads to shared drive following shoot to ensure the edit stage runs smooth and quality control checks are carried out to ensure standards are met. Your own editing skills may be called upon and required, and you must ensure your team are following process at all times.
