Description
Position Title: Production Lead Department: Production Reports to: Production Manager Wage Range: $26-$32 Principal Accountabilities: Pass communications between the area, the other functional areas/productions lines, engineers and supervisors. Communicate with the CFT's as required to maintain excellence in meeting customer's expectations Communicate between shifts pertaining to daily issues and daily priorities Communicate all quality data, trends and issues Work as required to meet production objectives Reinforce producing the highest level of quality possible. Schedule daily builds consistent with the priorities set by the schedule Help train crew to exceed the customer's expectations Order shop supplies for the area via approval of the budget manager Ensure production achieves the highest level of quality. Update QMS procedures and work instructions as needed to match current process. Ensure all machine maintenance is up to date Provide feedback to the supervisor regarding performance evaluations In the absence of direct supervision, is responsible for maintaining work flow, minimizing loitering and talking and completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner Be a positive resource for the area to ask questions; provide the necessary research and due diligence to discover the correct answers; and, communicate the question and answer to not only the one who answered the question; but rather to everyone in the area. Continually look for ways to improve processes. Be a role model by following and re-enforcing Safety, ESD, ITAR and QMS protocols. Audit Lean projects weekly to ensure stability and sustainability. Give feedback to individuals to encourage improvement. Pursue relentless reduction of waste Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Production experience Qualified to operate or do all facets associated with the area Minimum Competencies: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills Average computer skills Preferred Qualifications: IPC-A- 610 and J-STD-001certified 2 years of prior manufacturing supervisory experience or 2 years of manufacturing experience 2 year degree Preferred Competencies: Excellent computer skills Be able to find the QMS documentation for your area and job.
