Description
This position is based at our Olean, NY facility. The Production Lead - M-Force performs duties in the areas of planning, controlling and motivating the efforts of Team Members to meet customer requirements/order rates, ensuring that the Lean production process is running as designed, and meeting Safety, Quality, and Delivery, Cost and Inventory goals. The Production Lead regularly uses a process to track and follow-up on assigned tasks. The Production Lead is responsible for directing team members and communicating with other production leads within and between shifts. This position will be responsible for the M-Force Department for 2nd shift and works under the guidance of the Operations Manager and Production Supervisors, exercising initiative and independent judgment as needed. In addition, this is a working lead position and the Lead will have to perform all duties within the M-Force Department. Lead a team of hourly personnel in a specific department and/or area to fulfill customer requirements and order rates by producing quality products in a safe and timely manner utilizing standard work. Use written and oral communication skills. Utilize Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP. Daily use Continuous Improvement (CI) tools utilized within the department(s). Gathers information for updating S-Q-D-C-I and HR x HR boards. Achieves Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, Inventory targets through daily and weekly analysis of production data as assigned. Align resources, people, and work. Leads the team start-up meetings and shift changes. Conducts production and floor checks. Review prior day's production-tracking documents to understand root cause of issues. Review hourly personnel's daily task assignments and creates new assignments to hit daily goals. Conduct training and performs audits as required. Complete Lead Standard work. Complete Department Specific Work as needed. Responsible for ensuring themselves and their teams are following all safety policies and procedures, complying with JSA's, wearing proper PPE, complying with the production attire policy, and assuring that the work cell has safe equipment and no risk is placed on their coworkers or themselves. Establishes preventative actions to meet specific EHS Goals and conducts regularly scheduled GEMBAs and safety inspections. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or leadership position No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
