JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Supervise daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety targets are consistently achieved.
• Lead and motivate production teams, ensuring high levels of engagement, accountability, and performance.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output rates, scrap levels, downtime, and on-time delivery.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and root causes of inefficiencies or quality issues.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement by initiating and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, waste reduction).
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Ensure all processes and procedures comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Provide hands-on training and support for staff to enhance skills and maintain high operational standards.
• Maintain accurate production records, including shift reports, downtime logs, and material usage.
• Participate in regular reviews with management to align production goals with business objectives and improvement plans.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience in a Production Lead, Operations Lead, or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of Supervisors and Area Managers across a large-scale operation (circa 90 staff).
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in plastics production (e.g., injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding).
• Experience in driving process improvements and implementing continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen).
