Description

ARE YOU A GREAT TEAM LEADER?

We’re looking for experienced managers to lead our production teams to even greater performance.
Working in our Civil Aerospace business, you’ll be leading the teams responsible for making the world-famous parts and engines we’re known for. As their go-to person, it’ll be your job to increase their capabilities and ensure the health and safety of their work. All while optimising the cost, delivery and quality of the products they make and build.
Putting safety first is what we do. So, a big part of your role will be ensuring everything your team does follows the right procedures and complies with our standards. We’ll also be looking to you to promote a safety-first culture within your team and across Rolls-Royce.
Just as essential is quality. Which means you’ll be working hard to drive a zero defects focus by reducing risks, identifying improvements, increasing skills and ensuring your team has everything they need to get things right first time.
But above all else, you’ll be a strong and confident people leader, with the ability to get the best out of a large team. Motivating, engaging, coaching, and supporting – you’ll be there to deliver whatever’s needed to create a trained, capable and effective team.
It’s likely you’re already managing a team in a high-end production environment. Perhaps you’re in the automotive industry or another kind of precision manufacturing. Or it could be that you’re managing a team in a logistics warehouse.
What’s most important is that you’re experienced in production and know what it takes to bounce from people management queries, to supply chain issues, to driving continuous improvement, to building relationships across the organisation, among the many other tasks and talents it takes to lead a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

Yes, if you:

  • have experience managing teams in a production environment
  • are safety-focused and take pride in driving quality outputs
  • know how to get the best out of people and push their performance
  • are always thinking two-steps ahead to make sure your team has everything they need to be effective
  • are comfortable managing multiple tasks and different demands each day
  • understand the IT systems used to manage teams
  • always looks for ways to improve

What’s more important than anything, however, is that you’re ready to take on a new challenge and eager to help us become even better at what we do.
And, we have a variety of roles on offer, including day or shift roles, to suit your life and commitments.
