JARK Peterborough is seeking experienced and motivated Production Line Leaders at various levels for a prestigious food production client based in March.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Demonstrable leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and support a team
  • Ability to work flexible shift patterns reliably

COMPENSATION:

  • Competitive hourly rate between £12.64 and £14.64 depending on experience and level
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Production Line Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the production line. You will lead and support your team to meet production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. This role offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and motivate your production team to achieve daily production goals with efficiency and quality
  • Prepare the production line at the start of each shift, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum productivity
  • Monitor machine operation, cleanliness, and compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Ensure accurate completion of production paperwork and adherence to company procedures
  • Communicate effectively with QA, Engineering, and Production teams regarding any issues or improvements
  • Manage raw material usage and stock rotation to minimise waste
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through daily team meetings and performance discussions
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety policies and promoting best practices
  • Support the development and training of team members according to their skill levels
