WE’RE HIRING: PRODUCTION LINE LEADER (HOT END/CUT UP)

Shifts run between 14:00 hours and 23:00 hours, working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (Monday to Friday ).
We are a successful producer of haggis, vegetarian haggis and black pudding products, widely available throughout the year and for all of those special occasions too. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to join Macsween Ltd., one of Scotland’s best known and loved food brands! We are looking for dedicated Production Line Leader to join our Manufacturing team at our facility in Loanhead, Edinburgh.
The Production Team at Macsween of Edinburgh are responsible for the preparation of ingredients, cooking, cooling and packaging of products (haggis, vegetarian haggis and black pudding).
Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will play a key role in the food production kitchen team, producing our fantastic world class haggis and other products. The job requires accuracy and strict adherence to correct manufacturing procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of raw materials for each batch of production.
  • To assist in the production of each batch of product (under the direction of the Production Supervisor/Factory Manager) following all operational standards.
  • To assist in all procedures, such as recording temperatures, cooking times, filling in weights for the production records etc.
  • To assist in the cleaning of the factory area daily.
  • Ensuring quality control.
  • To report immediately any faults in the production process, machinery, or associated production equipment
  • Assisting in all due diligence procedures, such as recording temperatures, cooking times, filling in weights for the production records etc
  • Taking responsibility of your team’s quality of work and looking for opportunities where we can improve.
