JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Supervisor to oversee our assembly line operations within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and a thorough understanding of factory processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and food safety.

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing or production supervision.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and manufacturing best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of managing and leading a group of people.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to read and write in English; ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and communicative skills; cooperates and works together with all co-workers.
  • Completes job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.
  • Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of production line workers to meet daily production goals.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Train, assign, coach, and mentor team members to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Ensure production staff adhere to GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, SQF, and appropriate sanitary and practices to ensure health and safety. Adhere to procedures for daily cleanup and sanitization of the kitchen postproduction.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics teams to optimize workflow.
  • Make regular inspections to observe quality of food preparation, cleanliness and sanitation of production areas and equipment.
  • Inspect food production equipment to ensure machines are operational and in good working order for food processing.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations, striving for minimum work-related injuries, illnesses, and accidents.
