THE POSITION Job Title: Production Line Team Lead Position Status: Permanent, Full Time Department: Production Supervision Received: Production Supervisor Supervision Exercised: Operators Location: Mountain Iron, Minnesota A. Oversee Production Line 50% B. Lead Production Team 35% C. Administrative 10% D. Other Duties as assigned 5% TOTAL 100% Reporting to the Production Supervisors, the Production Line Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that a group of Operators effectively, efficiently, and safely execute their duties to ensure the production line does not stop. The Production Line Team Lead is responsible for tracking and managing attendance and employee-related issues and works closely with the Production Supervisors to ensure a strong operating team. They are responsible for ongoing training and development as well as ensuring a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: * Ensure all areas of the semi-automated production line are running optimally and safely * Manage a team of operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment * Work closely with other Team Leads and other teams to ensure that safety, quality and production targets are met * Participate in daily production walkthroughs, verifying that required production data is posted and accurate * Provide line support if needed due to quality issues, break relief or production line priorities * Ensure the production team is working in a safe and efficient manner, including enforcing site cleanliness and organization requirements * Evaluate, monitor, and mentor employees regarding performance, productivity, and compliance * Handle employee relations issues with assistance from Human Resources as needed * Participate in Production Meetings and lead floor production meetings * Support the Production Supervisor in the completion of daily shift reports * Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or delegate. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least two years of related supervisor experience or an equal combination of education and experience is required. * Previous experience working on/leading production lines considered an asset * Ability to be a people leader * Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) including the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and effectively with all departments * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Ability to be a self-starter and strong teamwork skills * Mechanical and/or Electrical skills an asset * Safety minded * Strong multi-tasker * Experience with Microsoft Office and applicable operating systems required * Criminal Background check and drug screening required * Identified as a safety sensitive position Physical Requirements: * Must be 18 years of age or older * Must be able to perform repetitive motion tasks for extended periods of time * Must be able to stand for extended periods of time * Must be able to tolerate an assembly line environment Compensation Package: • Salary: $25.50 - $29.00/hr * Night Shift premium: $1 per hour • Benefits + 401K • 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off rotation Qualified applicants should submit a cover letter and resume to the Careers Center [https://workforcenow.adp.com/mascsr/default/mdf/recruitment/recruitment.html?cid=d31a40ed-72d3-492d-b16f-7abf4b880e74&ccId=19000101_000001⟨=en_US].
