Description Reporting to the Production Operating Supervisor, the Production Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of fluid processing production line equipment and automation software with adherence to food quality and safety policies. This is a full-time, at-will, non-exempt hourly position. Schedule Flexibility during the hours of: Monday-Friday 5:00AM-8:00PM Key responsibilities include: Operate fluid processing equipment to carefully and accurately blend batches of fruit and vegetable products and fill finished product containers by following written SOPs and using automation software. Ensure that all product and packaging is handled in accordance with company food quality and safety policies and applicable regulatory standards. Collect and submit product samples as instructed by supervisor or quality/lab personnel. Accurately complete batch records or forms documenting blending process. CIP/COP and sanitize holding tanks, blending tanks, hard piping, soft hose and other equipment or surfaces in accordance with SSOPs. Conduct and ensure daily cleaning of all work areas within production and common areas. Be able to diagnose and communicate equipment issues to maintenance team and supervisors. Become proficient in the operation of multiple production equipment lines and processes, engaging in various production roles across the facility and provide backup to other operators and production personnel as necessary. Prepare finished product or raw material drums for storage/production by transferring to frozen or cooler storage via high reach forklift. Participate in training sessions, plant meetings, teams, and committees as required. Ensure proper time keeping and leave approval as required by the company leave and time and attendance policies. Requirements Previous experience in beverage manufacturing or fluid processing required. Ability to remain focused and result-driven in a high-paced production evironment. Experience with semi-automated processing lines and computer-controlled equipment a plus. Previous training and experience driving a forklift required. Experience with High- Reach/Reach trucks and "Walkie" forklifts preferred. Experience with hazardous chemicals and materials. Ability to physically lift and handle up to 60 pound pails, packages, and containers, and bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods performing repetitive motions. Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -5 degrees Fahrenheit (Cold- weather outer gear provided), while safely working around fast moving equipment. Capable of multitasking and communicating with other members of production staff. Basic math skills and reading comprehension, including ability to read and comprehend SOPs, policies, and procedures. Ability to visually identify products and verify accurate labeling and documentation. Flexibility in working hours as needed by the operation. Work hours may vary based on production activities and overtime may be required.
