Join this supportive and friendly team who all work well together, as 2IC you will also work closely with the Farm Manager. You will help to implement farm plans and take on a degree of responsibility for feed allocation, animal health and breeding and animal records. You will also be happy to muck in and support the team where needed. On the Farm Managers Day off, you will take responsibility for the team, ensuring everything runs smoothly. ABOUT US Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations. THE FARM Somervilles Dairy Unit is located just outside of Reefton. Somervilles is a progressive 500 ha property milking approximately 1,000 cows through a 60-bail rotary shed with ACR’s, MilkHub and an in-shed feeding system. ABOUT YOU You are self-motivated and passionate about dairy farming, wanting to grow your career and develop your leadership skills. Responsibilities
The Production Manager (2IC) will assist the Farm Manager in implementing farm plans, managing feed allocation, and overseeing animal health and breeding. They will also provide leadership to the team and ensure smooth daily operations, particularly during the Farm Manager's absence.
