THE OPPORTUNITY Are you currently working in a similar role, or you are a dairy farm assistant looking for the next step - either way, this Production Manager (2IC) leadership opportunity at Tasman Dairy could be the ideal opportunity for you. Join this supportive and friendly team who all work well together, as 2IC you will also work closely with the Farm Manager. You will help to implement farm plans and take on a degree of responsibility for feed allocation, animal health and breeding and animal records. You will also be happy to muck in and support the team where needed. On the Farm Managers Day off, you will take responsibility for the team, ensuring everything runs smoothly. ABOUT US Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations. THE FARM Just 15 minutes from Levin, Tasman Organics is a certified organic dairy farm covering 155 effective hectares. We milk around 330 cows at peak through a 30-aside herringbone shed. We run a 5:2 roster for most of the year, switching to a 6:2 pattern over spring to meet seasonal needs and keep things running smoothly. Responsibilities

As the 2IC, the role involves working closely with the Farm Manager to implement farm plans, taking responsibility for feed allocation, animal health, breeding, and record keeping. The individual will also take full responsibility for the team and smooth operations when the Farm Manager is off duty.
