We are hiring an experienced, hard-working, entrepreneurial Production Manager to develop the quality and production framework of our filling and packaging.
Production Manager: Lead, develop and improve all operations through effective workflow direction, ensuring that work standards are met, and continuous improvement is embraced. This person will actively participate, lead and achieve effective teamwork of key personnel in meeting efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement goals.

  • Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering or 4+ years of equivalent work experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
  • Must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Fluency in Excel
  • Experience training and coaching others in problem solving methodologies
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively to various audiences, especially with the direct supervisors and line-level team members.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs
  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for 8 hours per day.
Responsibilities

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Hires and trains front-line staff in assigned department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
  • Assign personnel to projects based on workload and capabilities.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A focus on cost effective production and labor allocation.
  • Coordinate and work closely with other departments to assure the attainment of production schedules, quality goals and safety objectives are met within deadlines given.
  • Continuous improvement in all production departments including our QC processes in production.
  • Implement and maintain tools for Tracking Production efficiency.
  • Allocation of raw material inventory across all products with profitability and velocity in mind.
  • Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.
  • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
  • Work with vendors on ordering, quality, and delivery.
  • Work with inventory control on testing priorities and test lab selection.
  • Work with Sales on production priorities.
  • Work with VP of Operations on production enhancements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify and select processes or projects for inclusion in the organization’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.
