Location - Richmond Hill, ON
Our client is in the passenger automation and self-service technologies for global markets. They are in search for a Production Manager who has a “roll up your sleeves” attitude, is a credited thinker, strong with analytics, and strategist. As the successful incumbent you will be responsible to set up and oversee the new Production plant located in the USA and oversee the plant in Richmond Hill. Ontario.
The Production Manager will oversee operations, strategic planning, capital, and operating budgets, analyze and develop continuous improvement methodologies where needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree / College diploma in Engineering / Engineering Technology OR Post-secondary degree in engineering, manufacturing.
  • 10+ years of direct experience across management or supervisory experience in assembly manufacturing, facilities, and equipment maintenance, project engineering, and management
  • 7+ years of Production Management experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities, from a manufacturing environment.
  • Application of Lean manufacturing and 5S expertise with demonstrated success in driving and leading change with continuous improvement and a dedication to exceed expectations
  • Experience in assembly operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in waste/scrap reduction.
  • Health and Safety leadership and scheduling of staff and inventory.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, mentorship.
  • Must be a critical thinker, a strategist; have a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
  • Interact effectively with senior management, key customers, and partners in problem-resolution scenarios.
  • Broad understanding of functional organization and business plans; knowledge and experience with quantitative tools and techniques for planning, scheduling, and controlling project deliveries.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, and be a multi-tasker.
  • Understand technical concepts quickly and ensures technology remains aligned with strategic business objective.
  • Has a project management mind set to manage expectations and risk
  • Contributes insight, creative and innovative ideas.
    Extended hours or weekends during peak times may be required while overseeing operations. Initial travel to USA, once plant set up complete then expected travel – 1X monthly.
