PRODUCTION MANAGER

AVK GUMMI A/S is a leading international manufacturer of elastomeric parts for food, water, energy and various technical applications. We supply industrial partners worldwide.
As a private company, with HQ in Denmark, and with a strong foothold in the European and Asian markets, we want to further strengthen our position in the US. Therefore, we have established AVK Elastomer Technology Inc. A new factory, based in Minden, Nevada, is under construction and is expected to be in operation early 2026.
We are now opening the position as Production Manager
Being the overall responsible for production activities of the subsidiary, you will be challenged with the establishment of an efficient and quality driven production facility supporting the US and global customers. The Production Manager is expected to drive and develop operational excellence in all business processes. Your daily tasks will be on both strategic, tactical and operational levels. As an operation leader in managing the day-to-day operations, you will be responsible for the following areas of the business: Production & supply chain, IT, QHSE, and general local management.
You will be offered a comprehensive training program at our HQ in Denmark as to production processes, quality management, and company procedures - to be properly prepared for your future job.
We plan to have the company up and running end 2025 and consequently, the initial role will be to set up the new facility together with a project team from Denmark. The size of the factory will be approximately 33.000 square feet, and the company will employ 10-20 people in the first year.
Professional qualifications
· Technical background with a degree as a Mechanical or Production Engineer, or equivalent.
· Relevant financial understanding/education.
· Strong IT skills which you already use to achieve efficiency in your daily tasks.
· Proven practical and relevant management experience from the manufacturing industry.
· Solid competence within LEAN in manufacturing, problem solving and continuous improvement.
· Experienced within project management and comfortable negotiating larger investments.
Personal qualifications
· Ambitious and result-oriented manager who keeps calm in stressful situations.
· You are efficient and solve daily challenges in a structured way and base your decisions on facts.
· Extensive management and communication skills from previous jobs.
· High degree of personal drive, self-motivation and flexibility.
· Positive mindset and “let´s do it” attitude.
