Cadman Power Equipment is located in Courtland, ON. We are a designer, manufacturer and global distributor of irrigation and manure management systems & high-volume fluid transfer solutions within the oil and gas industry; and have been rooted in our community for more than 70 years.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 5-years’ experience as a Production Manager or equivalent in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge in production, assemblies, tooling and materials
  • Mechanical Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related degree considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skills & professional judgment required to resolve major technical issues
  • Solid understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Workplace Safety Insurance Act and their impact on operations

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, working collaboratively with our Sales, Purchasing and Engineering teams from sale to raw material procurement and to final product assembly, testing and delivery
  • Oversee all production activities of the manufacturing facilities including Fabrication, Weld, Parts Picking and Paint areas
  • Coordinate timelines with the Purchasing Manager to procure required items for manufacturing
  • Review and Approve new sales orders for scheduling, and manage realistic timelines for the sales orders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and resolve production issues
  • Ensures all required quality and regulatory standards are met
  • Lead (supervise, train, develop) the manufacturing department
  • Monitor plant operations and provide timely reporting (key business information) to the CEO
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure labor costs are kept within budget and that proper operations are maintained for quality, safety, production and delivery
  • Enforces compliance with all Health & Safety procedures and regulations, and promote a culture of safety within the plant and oversee safety violations and defects in a timely manner
  • Participate in design review and product launch meetings to provide design and manufacturability insight
  • Determine staffing requirements as necessary and work with HR on any personnel-related matters, conduct new hire and annual reviews, and progressive discipline matters
