Job DetailsJob Location: Gainesville - Gainesville, GA 30501Position Summary: This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the entire facility which includes employee safety, workplace safety, and product quality while optimizing productivity. The plant manager is responsible for leading, directing, supporting and developing the production managers and supervisors. The plant manager is accountable for driving a culture of continuous improvement which includes managing the profit and loss results. Essential Position Requirements (include but are not limited to): SAFETY FIRST – driving and leading a culture of Safety to ensure every employee of Cellofoam North America Inc. demonstrates a strong commitment to following all safety standards, procedures, and practices to secure a safe working environment for themselves and others. Responsible for managing all aspects of the facility ensuring the facility is operating under the Cellofoam North America Inc Manufacturing Strategy - safe, clean, organized, efficient, productive, profitable, and provides the market with the highest level of service that makes it easy for customers to do business with Cellofoam. Establish and communicate responsibilities for the team members and hold them accountable for monitoring safety, profitability, orders, freight, goals, capital projects, and other critical site operational requirements. Lead, manage, coach, mentor, and develop facility employees which also includes hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, setting goals, and professional and personal employee development. Communicate, implement, and support all corporate policies, procedures and work with all functional areas of the company to include Corporate Compliance, Financing, HR, IT, Engineering, and Sales requirements. Manage and monitor all inventoried materials to ensure accurate and effective month end inventories, manufacturing issues, costs, and assist with cost or price evaluations. Manage safety, equipment, quality, environmental, and maintenance issues. Will assist and manage site purchasing, account payables, inventories, payroll, and other plant required activities. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors and city, state and federal agencies as required. Accountable for managing plant P&L results. Perform other production duties as requested by supervisor. Work in conjunction with other departments to resolve issues. Maintain a positive work atmosphere with a culture of respect for others. Uses appropriate judgment in upward communication regarding plant or employee concerns. Maintain a working knowledge and is in full compliance with corporate standards for business conduct and Federal anti-trust laws. QualificationsEducation Requirements Associates College degree or equivalent experience Knowledge and Skill Requirements CORE COMPETENCIES Excellent communication skills Ability to lead, direct, train and develop employees at a high level Support and optimize production output driving continuous improvement General understanding and knowledge of machinery and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Knowledge of Quality Control and Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Determine causes of operating errors and insure optimal efficiency. Ability to delegate and manage responsibility to others. Facilitate team building and development of employees.
