POSITION OVERVIEW

The Production Manager will oversee the manufacturing process for food products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role is vital in coordinating production schedules, managing resources, and leading a team to achieve production targets while adhering to safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate production schedules to optimize resource utilization and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including HACCP and FSQA requirements.
  • Monitor production processes and implement improvements for efficiency and quality.
  • Lead and manage production staff, including training and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports for management regarding productivity and quality metrics.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with a focus on production management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, particularly HACCP and FSQA.
  • Experience with production planning and resource management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
