Description

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, other degrees can be substituted by years of experience
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience required, preferably in labor-intensive, high mix/high volume assembly line environment
  • Green Belt certification
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (production planning, resource allocation and human resource)
  • Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, inventory
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example
  • Knowledge of manufacturing continuous improvement methodologies including breakdown analysis/Root cause analysis.
  • Provide appropriate shop floor level support by interfacing with operators and other functional groups to review process issues and resolve with sound, and lasting, corrective actions
  • Experience in CNC Machining required
  • Experience in a mass component manufacturing environment using automated and semi-automated manufacturing processes would be beneficial
  • Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong analytical skills to address BOM errors and variances, and provide input on standard costs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work in a global, fast paced cross functional team
  • Well organized and proactive, self-starter
  • Assist in new product implementation projects
  • Participate in cross functional teams for incident investigation and corrective action activities

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represents DynaEnergetics and DMC locally
  • Confer with management, engineering, shop floor and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, safety, quality, and other considerations to solve problems and facilitate production processes
  • Assembles and develops a stable and performing team across all shifts.
    o Organizes each departmental team to make the best use of the talent pool, places individual team members in a position to succeed

o Promote DynaEnergetics and DMC core values and develop a sense of urgency in the organization

  • Create / maintain CNC machining programs (Multi-task Mill-turn center, CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Laser Cutting Machines) providing the appropriate level of floor support for program introduction, productivity optimization, and trouble shooting
  • With a strong emphasize on Process Reliability, structures the operational plans at the production plants, including plans for Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement (5S, “On-Time delivery”, other programs)
  • Monitors operations with respect to the operational budget to ensure expenditures are in line
  • Responsible for competitive manufacturing costs and increased productivity levels
  • Plans and organizes production to meet monthly forecast of volume and margin
  • Contributes to the production of timely relevant reports for management and participates in the reporting process.
  • Leads all Continuous Improvement efforts for HW within the DE CI Program guidelines.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the actions and the mentoring of a team of supervisors, shift leads and 75+ hourly employees across 3 shifts.
