Description

We transform waste into resources and renewable energy. When you start to think of waste as a resource, it opens a world of possibilities.

Join us and contribute to making a sustainable future possible, together!

The Opportunity

We're looking for a dynamic and commercially astute leader to oversee the largest organics processing facility in the Southern Hemisphere, based in Eastern Creek. Operating 24/7 across three shifts, the site processes Food and Garden Organics and general solid waste, playing a critical role in NSW's resource recovery network.

As Site Manager, you'll lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the facility, driving performance across people, productivity and profitability. Working closely with environmental regulators, councils and internal stakeholders, you'll champion safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance, and lead key projects and site-wide initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement operational plans and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  • Develop and manage site budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to achieve cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate operational activities and achieve company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee and lead operations staff to maintain high-performance standards and ensure a culture of respect, safety and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies and procedures.

About You

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, utilities or heavy industry environments.
  • Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation and comprehensive safety management systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and develop teams to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
