Our client is looking for an experienced Production Manager to take the reins of a large production workforce and drive real operational results, on a 12 month fixed term contract.

This is a genuine leadership role in a high volume, high SKU manufacturing environment producing precision parts. You will lead multiple production lines, manage a team of Team Leaders and Supervisors, and be accountable for safe, efficient, and cost effective operations without compromising on quality or delivery.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines
  • Directly oversee Team Leaders, Supervisors, and operators
  • Deliver production schedules while protecting quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain and Planning to optimise scheduling and manage bottlenecks
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for automation, waste reduction, and cost improvement
  • Use ERP or MIS systems to manage production, inventory, and reporting with discipline
  • Develop your people through coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning

What we're looking for

  • Qualification in manufacturing, engineering, business, science, or a trade discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical engineering preferred)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher highly regarded
  • At least 5 years managing a large production team (30 plus) across a diverse product portfolio
  • Proven track record implementing productivity and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience with a modern ERP system, Pronto experience highly regarded
  • Confidence translating new products into production
  • A practical, hands on, can do leadership style with a strong eye for detail
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong cross functional relationships

Why apply

  • A genuine leadership role with real authority and accountability
  • Broad exposure across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality
  • The chance to make a fast, visible impact on production performance

If you're ready to lead a high performing production team and make a genuine impact, we want to hear from you.

  • At Fuse, we specialise in manufacturing and industrial recruitment. If you're exploring your next move, we'd love to hear from you.
