Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and support operations to align with organizational objectives. Accountable for the overall performance of production programs and plant operations through leadership, strategic planning, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead production programs to achieve scheduling, quality, and budget targets.
  • Promote and drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
  • Apply strong knowledge of composite manufacturing processes to optimize output.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific quality and regulatory standards.
  • Foster a culture of safety, organization (5S), and accountability.
  • Develop workforce skills through cross-training and team development.
  • Manage department budgets and monitor cost efficiency.
  • Track performance metrics and initiate improvements when needed.
  • Oversee implementation and use of enterprise systems to enhance workflow.
  • Coordinate maintenance efforts to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across all departments.
  • Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and process optimizations.
  • Support HR efforts in hiring, onboarding, and employee engagement.
  • Resolve workforce challenges with fairness and professionalism.
  • Deliver regular operations reports and updates to senior management.
  • Perform other duties as needed to meet business goals.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :

  • Consistent and timely delivery of production output.
  • Achievement of quality benchmarks such as first-pass yield and minimal waste.
  • Meeting or exceeding monthly production and efficiency goals.
  • Maintenance of safe work practices and low incident rates.
  • Continuous improvement in operational and team performance metrics.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in aerospace or composite manufacturing leadership.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and standard office software.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience (certification preferred).
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, multi-shift production environment.
  • Proven ability to lead by example with integrity and professionalism.
