To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to come and join our team at our Weeford site in Sutton Coldfield, B75 5SX

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A high degree of self-motivation.
  • Demonstrable supervisory experience.
  • Be a natural coach, able to lead, motivate and develop a multi-skilled team, ensuring they deliver all targets and objectives
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all departments and levels of the business.
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyse data to inform decision making.
  • Have the ambition and ability to progress into a senior managerial role.
  • Experience in continuous operation production process.
  • Demonstrable organisational skills including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures.
  • A recognised Health and Safety Qualification, IOSH or NEBOSH

Responsibilities
  • The development and promotion through effective communication of Company, Factory and Team plans and their focused implementation to achieve defined objectives.
  • Chairing the tier 2 meetings
  • Coordinating with supervisors for tier 1 meetings and stand downs
  • Collaborating with logsitics teams and customer service teams
  • Having line of sight of their plans and and aliging with stock targets and despatch
  • Liaising with external suppliers and contractors
  • Coaching production team and applying and imbedding policies
  • Create the right environment onsite - being resilient and communicating the right messages to the team (consistent)
  • Influencing, engaging and listening
  • People Management, motivation and structured development of the team through performance review to ensure delivery of objectives through team working.
  • VFL - actively conducted onsite with the team
  • To facilitate the rigorous application of IMS, TPM Tools and Techniques to generate Continuous Improvement across all areas of manufacturing capability.
  • The development of systems and standards to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping within the manufacturing environment using 5S’ principles.
  • Implementation and adherence of factory-based Risk Assessments and Standard operating Procedures
  • Deputisation for Factory Manager during periods of absence.
