Description
The Production Manager role will lead manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals while fostering team development and driving continuous improvement across all production processes. Responsibilities Oversee daily manufacturing processes to meet or exceed safety, quality, productivity, cost, and team performance targets. Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and drive process improvements. Apply the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) model to analyze root causes and implement lasting solutions when goals are not met. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput, eliminate waste, and improve scheduling and efficiency. Supervise, coach, and develop manufacturing team members to ensure consistent performance and engagement. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality requirements, including GMPs, SOPs, OSHA, and FDA standards. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and employee involvement across all operations. Oversee material availability, product quality, and on-time delivery through effective resource allocation. Facilitate daily and weekly operational reviews to ensure alignment with short- and long-term production goals. Support new product launches in collaboration with business and production teams. Lead workforce planning and training programs to build flexibility and ensure succession readiness. Perform other duties as assigned. MUST HAVES: Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment in food, beverage, biotech, or pharmaceutical Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of Daily Management Systems, Lean principles, GMPs, SOPs, OSHA, and FDA regulations preferred. Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and foster a positive, high-performance culture.
