Job Description     Position:          Production Manager – Ks                                  (Exempt)   Reports To: Plant Manager   Job Summary: The Production Manager ensures that production goals and product quality are met according to SPC standards.    Job Responsibilities: * Evaluate previous daily production and machine operating conditions. * Direct and plan daily work schedule incorporating equipment preventative maintenance.  * Comply and ensure personnel are following safety policies and company procedures. * Verify production paperwork for accuracy and completion in a timely manner. * Coordinate and evaluate production scheduling based on sales projections to ensure there is an adequate inventory of supplies and staffing to meet production goals. * Provide leadership and training to subordinates to promote continual growth in job, skill, and knowledge. * Monitor product quality on a routine basis to ensure the finished product meets/exceeds NSF, ASTM, and UL standards. * Evaluate plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency, minimize production down time, and scrap goal levels are achieved. * Process formulation tests to ensure a cost-efficient quality product allows Sanderson Pipe to be competitive in the sales market. * Responsible for preparing and conducting performance reviews for production supervisors in a timely manner. * Promote a discrimination-free workplace and good morale among personnel to encourage a teamwork environment. * Order supplies for the department. * Generate Scrap Summary Reports. * Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facility Plant Manager.   Preferred Qualifications & Education: * Associate’s degree * Previous Management and Production experience
