1.0 INTRODUCTION

  • The purpose of this procedure is to define and establish the functions, duties, authority, and responsibilities of the Production Manager Position for Todd’s.

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

3.5 Working conditions

  • Production Facility is a controlled smoke free environment.
  • Employees will be expected to wash hands before entering Production Center
  • Employees will be expected to wear gloves, masks, and other essential protection equipment as required by Quality Control.
Responsibilities

2.0 FUNCTIONAL ROLE

2.1 The function of the Production Manager is to Manage the Production Through the Todd’s Liquid Products Plant. Production includes all production lines from filler through ready to ship.

6.0 DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the Production Quality and Quantity of Work Through the

    Liquid Food Production Facility.

  • Responsible for Ensuring the Safe Operation of Work Centers Under Supervision

  • Ensures all Quality Control Mandates are Followed by Direct Reports and

    Actively Monitors and Models Quality Control Behavior

  • Supports Work Center Production by Ensuring Staged Materials Are Moved in and out of Work Centers as Needed to Keep Production Moving Forward

  • Works Hand and Hand with Scheduling to Schedule Work Centers Based on Order Deadlines, Available Capacity, and Production Targets.
  • Communicates with Receiving & Shipping Lead, Cooking Lead, and Quality Control Leads to Ensure Smooth Transition of Work through the Work Center.
  • Assists in the Development of Work Orders, BOM’s, and Production Work Processes for Work Centers for existing and new products.
  • Works with the Work Center Leads to Appropriately Schedule Employees to Work Centers Based on Abilities of Employees and Company Need.
  • Reviews Work Center Production with Work Center Leads to Help Determine Future Production Efficiencies
  • Ensures Quality Control Recommendations are Communicated with Work Center

    Leads and Are Implemented into Work Center Processes

  • Reviews Time Studies with Management and Implements Time Saving Solutions

    In Supervised Work Centers as Needed to Achieve Production Targets.

  • Conducts Peer Reviews and Evaluations of Performance for Positions Under Direct Supervision.

  • Responsible for Reporting any Incidents or Accidents in Supervised Work Areas

    to Human Resources, Quality Control, and/or Engineering as Required by

    Company Guidelines.

  • Works with Engineering/Operational Manager to Set Up Work Center Production and to Maximize Efficiencies Through the Work Center.

  • Ensures Work Centers are Properly Washed Down and Gives Proper Notification to Quality Control of Next Work Product to Ensure all Necessary Testing and Prep Work Has Been Performed to Enable Work Centers to Start Work.
  • Recognizes Allergens, Organics, and Kosher to Determine Proper Handling in The Liquid Products Facilities.
  • Ensures Supervised Work Center Areas are Cleaned Per FDA and SQF Guidelines at the end of each Shift
  • Checks Finished Goods Paperwork and Work Orders for Work Centers and Ensures all Products Have Been Labeled Correctly and moved to Finished Goods for Shipping.
  • Works with Production Line Leads to Determine Best Practices and Processes to Complete Work in the Work Centers.
  • Notifies Maintenance / Engineering and Operations Manager of Any Equipment Break Downs, Needs for Machine Set Up on Production Lines, and Submits Work Order Tickets to Maintenance /Engineering as Necessary to Ensure Consistent Production Through the Work Centers.
  • Assists with the Training of Production Line Leads to align Work Center Goals with Overall Annual Production Goals.
  • Other Related Duties as Requested by Management
