Job Description Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. About this opportunity We specialise in the manufacture and supply of rigid plastic and metal packaging servicing for the consumer and industrial sectors. Reporting to the Plant Manager the Production Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the full production manufacturing steel drums and IBC reconditioning business. The focus of the role is to build a culture that has a strong Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence mindset driving towards achieving production KPIs. Your key responsibilities will be to: Lead and develop the production team including mould change and production technicians. Action weekly production plans with a focus on machine uptime and minimising waste Work with the reliability manager, continue to review machine setups, and optimise product manufacture. Work with the Supply Chain Team to ensure planning and scheduling are optimised and that key issues likely to impact customer delivery needs are known and understood. Support the maintenance and logistics teams. Have a Continuous Improvement mindset to improved Safety, Productivity, Quality and Reliability Champion a safety-first culture Ensure all standards ISO, HACCP and GMP standards and practices are achieved. Lead and managing manufacturing activities to achieve the most effective outcome in support of the business objectives. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing/production environment. Proven experience in Lean and Operational Excellence Leadership, influencing, negotiation, change management, conflict resolution, financial and computer literacy skills Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in operations management or industrial engineering, plus five to seven years of experience in supervision within a manufacturing environment Additional Information About us Our vision is to lead the circular economy through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
