POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in food manufacturing to oversee daily operations in our production facility. This role requires expertise in quality assurance (Q/A), health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and the ability to manage both people and processes to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant production.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in a food manufacturing plant, preferably in chocolate, confectionery, or similar processing environments.
  • Strong understanding of Q/A systems and HSE compliance.
  • Proficient in record keeping and production documentation.
  • Technical knowledge of production equipment, maintenance, and electronic diagrams.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication abilities in both written and verbal form.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure targets, quality standards, and timelines are met.
  • Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, HSE guidelines, and company SOPs.
  • Maintain and monitor all production records, including batch sheets, maintenance logs, and quality control documentation.
  • Manage, train, and develop production staff to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate corrective actions with maintenance and technical teams.
  • Review and interpret equipment manuals, electronic diagrams, and process flow charts to guide operations and resolve technical problems.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet required standards before release.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure raw materials and supplies are available.
