The Production Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the paper bag manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal performance across safety, quality, productivity, and cost. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating across departments to meet strategic business goals. The Production Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and play a key role in achieving operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Duties Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations including production, quality control, maintenance, and materials handling. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety throughout the facility. Monitor and report on plant performance metrics including productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and enhance overall plant performance. Oversee inventory and materials management to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Collaborate with commercial and sales teams to support facility growth and maintain key customer relationships. Develop and implement business plans aligned with company goals and strategic direction. Quality will report to the Plant Manager, but this roll will work with quality to ensure production efficiency, consistency, and meet customer expectations. Manage capital planning and implementation, including equipment upgrades and facility improvements. Maintain budgetary control and manage headcount to meet operational needs. Build and lead a diverse team, fostering accountability, development, and high performance. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and external stakeholders. Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. Minimum of 3-7 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proven experience in operations/production management, including budget and financial oversight. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, quality control, and distribution. Preferred: Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Demonstrated ability to lead transformative change and build high-performing teams. Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences. Entrepreneurial mindset with a customer-first approach and ability to respond quickly to changing demands.
