JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a process oriented Production Manager in Reading, Pa. This role includes managing the labor force, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production targets.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production management
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in data analysis and inventory management
  • Effective leadership, communication, and motivational skills
  • Computer literate with the ability to prepare clear reports
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and decimal/fraction conversion

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception

Responsibilities
  • Execute production schedules based on customer orders and inventory levels
  • Allocate production resources (materials, molds, labor) to optimize workflow
  • Monitor daily production to identify and resolve bottlenecks, equipment issues, or staffing challenges
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Track and manage KPIs such as cycle time, scrap rate, downtime, and equipment utilization
  • Use statistical tools to diagnose production issues and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, sales, customer service) to align goals and ensure on-time delivery
  • Lead, train, and motivate production team members to foster teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
