PRODUCTION MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

The Oilfield Production Manager will maintain consistent production of their wells in supervising production out in the field. The Oilfield Production Manager will support the company’s strategic plans to achieve long-term goals and objectives. The Oilfield Production Manager is responsible for planning and scheduling, communications with management and engineering, and following all Company Safety Policies and Procedures.
This individual must have the character and professionalism that will establish immediate credibility with the company and industry personnel. The successful candidate must also have well-developed social and interpersonal skills, comfortable with applying current technology, and be able to communicate well and deal persuasively with individuals at all levels, both within and outside the company.

Responsibilities
  • The Oilfield Production Manager is responsible for Production
  • Identify opportunities to improve work processes to streamline operations
  • The Oilfield Production Manager handles logistics of day to day operations (construction, service personnel, equipment, land owners, etc.)
  • Analysis, optimization and troubleshooting activities with/to production engineering staff
  • Directing, scheduling and supervising activities of contract field personnel - (pumpers, roustabout crews, facility construction and well servicing)
  • Oilfield Production Manager plans capital improvements and/or compliance projects
  • Supervise down hole operations
  • Ability to motivate and promote teamwork
  • Appraise employee performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable as needed; communicate issues and results on a daily basis
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements
  • Train on and safely operate various pieces of production equipment
  • The Oilfield Production Manager prioritizes and continues to meet objectives and possess good mechanical aptitude, and leadership abilities
  • Analyzing, managing and reporting of lease operating expenses pursuant to annual budgets & recommending programs to improve lifting economics
  • Coordinate third party contract work and supervise tasks to be performed by contractors’ equipment
