Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Production Manager to take charge of our end-to-end fulfilment process, spanning our in-house optical lab inventory movement, and dispatch. This role will focus on ensuring that daily production targets are met efficiently while maintaining our quality and speed standards. This role is based in our HQ at Bury- Manchester.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and oversee lab operations including lens preparation, tray management, and product assembly
  • Supervise the entire order lifecycle from print to final dispatch, ensuring high accuracy and output
  • Structure production output to meet rapid delivery timelines (within 24 hours)
  • Manage and optimise production flow to reduce downtime and improve turnaround speed
  • Monitor inventory usage across lab and warehouse to ensure timely replenishment and minimise waste
  • Oversee receiving of goods and internal movement of stock
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant production and storage environment
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams across lab, stockroom, and dispatch units
  • Assign daily production tasks, monitor KPIs, and ensure all shifts run to plan
  • Liaise with the Stores, and Customer Support to resolve workflow or fulfilment issues
  • Report on daily output, delays, and team performance to senior operations leadership
  • Participate in hiring to expand lab and production capacity during peak times
  • Oversee setup and transition into extended-night shift production schedules
