Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are excited to be searching for a Production Manager, based at our Proserpine Farm and reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. The Production Manager will manage and co-ordinate the running of the respective Prawn Processing facility and provide direction, assistance and support as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and motivate a team to meet daily production targets, KPI’s and flow of product, personally maintaining all performance, standards and behaviour in keeping with the Code of Conduct.
  • Leading Safety: Ensure a safety culture of “no job is so important that it cannot be done safely” is in place and at all times comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Escalation of Risk Policy and the 8 Golden Safety Rules.
  • Productivity: Hands on approach to daily functions to assist key production staff achieve targets and ensure production plan and labour targets, set by the Manufacturing Manager, are achieved.
  • Quality and Customer Service: Maintain quality assurance and customer service standards by ensuring accurate daily record-keeping and timely escalation of issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with farm and harvest operations to ensure daily production targets are achieved in an efficient manner.
  • Contractor Liaising: Co-ordinate maintenance requirements with the maintenance manager as required.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute and develop improvement plans across your area to ensure efficiencies are met with production targets in focus.
