POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and ongoing maintenance of all production aspects for the Titanic Touring Exhibitions. This role ensures that each venue is successfully installed, operated, maintained, and de-installed according to established standards, timelines, and budgets, while preserving the integrity of the exhibition content and guest experience. The Production Manager works closely with the CFOO and cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence, financial stewardship, and consistent delivery of high-quality touring exhibitions worldwide. The position is hybrid with 25-50% travel (domestic and international).

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Event Production, Museum Studies, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 5+ years of experience in touring exhibitions, live event production, museum operations, or large-scale experiential environments.
· Strong project management skills with proven ability to lead complex, multi-phase projects.
· Experience managing vendors, contractors, and onsite production crews.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and rigging diagrams.
· Knowledge of AV systems, lighting, scenic fabrication, and logistics workflows.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Demonstrated financial acumen with experience managing budgets and vendor contracts.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
· Preferred experience with international touring or customs.
· Comfortable working in physically demanding environments, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Frequent standing, walking, ladder use, and bending during installation periods.
· Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings during load-in/load-out schedules.
Estimated 25-50% travel, with extended stays during installation and strike periods.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Peachtree Corners, GA 3007

Responsibilities

· Lead the full production lifecycle for touring exhibitions, including logistics, scheduling, installations, operations, maintenance, and de-installations.
· Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, timelines, and budgets for each tour location.
· Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the work of freight companies, labor crews, rigging teams, and onsite contractors.
· Coordinate domestic and international shipping, customs clearance, insurance documentation, and permitting requirements.
· Conduct technical site evaluations for prospective venues; develop venue readiness assessments and load-in/load-out plans.
· Liaise with venue staff and local authorities to ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, accessibility, and fire safety standards.
· Serve as the onsite production lead during installation and de-installation phases, ensuring adherence to established plans and resolving onsite challenges as they arise.
· Assist the Collections Department for the care, handling, and preservation of Titanic artifacts and exhibition assets throughout touring operations.
· Partner with Collections to ensure preventive maintenance programs for exhibit components (AV systems, lighting, interactives and scenic elements) along with supporting accurate records of repairs, condition reports, and maintenance activities.
· Partner closely with internal teams across finance, logistics, marketing, sales, curatorial, operations, and ticketing to ensure comprehensive execution of each tour.
· Participate in planning meetings, operational reviews, and project updates with the CFOO and leadership.
· Support special events, sponsor activations, and VIP tours as needed.
· Develop, manage, and monitor production budgets, providing detailed financial reporting to the CFOO.
· Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies across touring operations.
· Ensure adherence to financial guidelines, contract compliance, and vendor accountability.
