PRODUCTION MANAGER

Our client is looking for a Production Manager that will maintain overall responsibility for production and facility maintenance at the Cambridge location, develop and deploy production department policies that are aligned with company objectives, and oversee production issues and ensure effective and long-term problem resolution.

Responsibilities

· Develop and implement procedures key to the efficient operation of the production department.
· Manage and delegate responsibilities to direct reports, and ensure performance standards meet goals of company. Coach team in order to achieve high performance.
· Work continually towards self-development to stay current on production and maintenance procedures and practices.
· Supervise and measure the performance of production staff, including hiring, training and implementation of Swan’s Progressive Discipline Policy when required.
· Oversee the operation and maintenance of plant equipment.
· Analyze performance and recommend changes to production flow, staffing, equipment, inventory, etc.
· Ensure all Health and Safety policies are being followed.
· Coordinate shipments of product to other Swan locations, as applicable.
· Ensure all production schedules are met and all vehicles are loaded with the daily requirements.
· Maintain accurate computerized records with respect to production reporting, inventory levels, quality issues, hours worked, etc.
· Supervise and work closely with the Maintenance Technician to ensure all equipment is operating properly, and ensure facility is maintained.
· Act as the Chair of the Joint Health and Safety Committee. Ensure Swan remains in full compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act.
· Develops good working relationship with all departments.
· Responsible for compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
