The Production Officer will be responsible for professionally editing analytical products that support key US national security and foreign policy objectives on CT issues. The Publications Officer will be expected to work in a team environment. The Production Officer will need to support one of the following shifts: Monday to Friday: 2:00pm to 10:00pm (5 days a week 8-hour shifts) or Between Monday to Friday (4 days a week 10-hour shifts) 12:00pm to 10:00pm. 15% premium shift differential may apply to certain hours.

The Production Officer will be required to perform the following Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit products to align with Style Guide standards Review and edit graphics, including interactive media, assist in the development of visual aids, and ensure proper formatting.
  • Verify proper sourcing of products and graphics.
  • Finalize publications.
  • Provide archiving support.
  • Track production, document and ensure workflow through the production process.
  • Work within production schedules and coordinate with all parties involved. Produce, deliver, and archive finished intelligence publications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Strong editorial experience.
  • Experience with editing Finished Intelligence Products or Intelligence Assessments (products that are viewable for the greater IC or DoD) that range from 1-5 pages.
  • Must have previous experience editing and sourcing Finished Intelligence products in support of an IC customer, with a proven track record of collaborating with analysts and managers.
  • Relevant exposure to US foreign policy, national security CT objectives, and the interagency coordination process.
  • Knowledge of national security classification procedures is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of publishing principles and basics of publication design.
  • Knowledge of production methodology for publishing products in hardcopy or electronic formats.
  • Experience adhering to a publication style guide.
  • Experience w/ Microsoft Word (specifically, Track Changes).
  • BA degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be exchanged for degree requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with Adobe InDesign is desired.
