Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Officer at our Narangba site plays a key administrative and coordination role in supporting daily production activities. This hands-on position involves data entry, quality and safety compliance support, document control, and cross-functional collaboration with the site and shared services teams. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who enjoys supporting a diverse range of activities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Safety
- Promote and uphold a culture of safety in accordance with Ridley policies and OHS/WHS legislation.
- Support FeedTrack log entries and corrective action tracking.
- Identify and report proactive safety hazards and near misses as well as collaborate in managing incidents and RTW.
Quality
- Ensure all activities comply with HACCP and Quality Management System (QMS).
- Assist in maintaining site accreditation and quality documentation.
- Support quality audits and record keeping requirements.
Administration
- Respond to internal and external customer queries via phone and email.
- Accurately post finished goods (FG) and work-in-progress (WIP) production entries into D365, including inventory reconciliation and variance investigation.
- Update daily meeting boards and contribute to internal communications.
- Manage document control including SOPs, toolbox talks, and training records.
- Raise purchase orders for site consumables, services, casual labour, and coordinate invoice accruals with Maintenance and Finance.
- Monitor and maintain the Admin Inbox and manage freight invoices.
- Record and archive staff files and induction documents.
- Complete monthly accruals with the Finance team.
General
- Conduct internal audits on systems such as LinkSafe, ChemAlert, FeedTrack, and Guardian.
- Provide ad hoc support to the Production team on projects and initiatives.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities assigned by Management or delegated authority.
- Engage in personal development, relevant training, and site meetings.
- Support refresher training for operator SOPs and document updates.
Skills and Experience
Mandatory
- Experience in an office or administrative environment
- Solid understanding of general accounting and administration principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and production support functions
- Understanding of business and site processes
Desirable
- Experience using Dayforce training systems
- Experience creating and managing SOPs
- Familiarity with ERP systems like D365
- Exposure to manufacturing or FMCG environments
