JOB OVERVIEW

To lead the site activities necessary to ensure that the manufacturing, Health & Safety, and food safety requirements are met in full, to the company standards as well as the customer standards.
Ensure that the Chakki Mill produces the correct quality, while efficiently and effectively ensuring the Food Safety of our products and the Health & Safety of our colleagues. The shift pattern for this role is a Monday to Friday day shift, 40 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS

  • ISOH and / or other Health & safety training
  • Food safety / HACCP qualification
  • Effective communication
  • Excellent problem solving, planning and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability and willingness to learn additional technical skills and expand knowledge of the operational functions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements including Health and Safety, Environmental, Hygiene. & Food Safety
  • Maximise efficiency of the stoneground mill to achieve quality, extraction, throughput etc. whilst maintaining Finished Product Specification and Food safety.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant company and statutory legislation and contribute towards compliance in the areas of Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, BRC, Product safety (HACCP) and all other areas as appropriate.
  • Interpret Quality information and act on results where necessary & take the appropriate action and escalate any concerns accordingly.
  • Strict adherence to operational procedures and work instructions.
  • Support the two small packing lines when required.
  • Participate in training and development and assist in general hygiene duties in the area.
  • To support the wider operation when needed and maintaining a high level of hygiene standards through clean as you go as well scheduled deep cleaning.
