SUMMARY

We are looking for a Production Operative on a full time, permanent basis in our Motorcycle Disc Production Department at our site in Pineham/Swan Valley area of Northampton (NN4 9EF).

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Previous production, manufacturing or engineering experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided;
• Highly motivated, must have a strong desire to deliver against targets and to a high standard;
• Must be hard working, able to work as part of a team but also independently;
• Flexible working attitude, overtime may be required during busy periods;
• Ability to work independently in line with standard operating procedures and follow instructions;
• Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English;
• If required, in-house forklift training will be provided;
• Experience in manual handling.
  HOURS OF WORK: Full time 40.5 hours per week. Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:30 (30 minute unpaid lunch break) and Friday 08:30-13:00.
  Start date: As soon as possible.
  PAY: Hourly rate £12.21 per hour, rising to £12.55 on successful completion of 3-month probation period.

• Operate various equipment and machinery (may include lathes, pillar drill, levellers, linishing machine or shot blaster);
• Count and inspect items, as per the details shown on the works order;
• Perform physical stock movements (does involve some heavy lifting);
• Complete paperwork showing daily production;
• Any other duties as issued by the Production Manager and Production Supervisor.
