Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To operate Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to inspect PCB assemblies and identify defects, ensuring products meet quality and IPC standards before progressing through the production process working on the late shift (14:00 - 00:00)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate 2D/3D AOI machines (e.g., CyberOptics, Mirtec, Omron) to inspect PCBs and identify quality defects such as misaligned or missing components and soldering issues.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) as required.
  • Record and classify AOI inspection results accurately
  • Follow up on flagged defects with re-inspection or escalation
  • Work closely with SMT operators and Quality team to maintain production quality.
  • Maintain clean and organized inspection stations in line with health and safety procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback on recurring issues.
