POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Operator (Blending/Weighing) is responsible for accurately weighing, measuring, and blending raw materials in accordance with established formulas, production schedules, and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. This role ensures that materials are prepared, handled, and documented precisely to maintain product quality, safety, and consistency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Prior manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, or related industry preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret batch records, SOPs, and scales; basic math and measurement skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with cGMP, HACCP, or other regulatory requirements a plus.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly. Stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. Work in environments with exposure to dust, powders, and noise (with proper PPE).
Responsibilities
  • Weighing & Measuring: Accurately weigh and measure raw materials following batch records, formulations, and SOPs.
  • Blending Operations: Operate blending equipment to combine raw materials per manufacturing instructions.
  • Equipment Setup & Operation: Prepare, operate, and monitor blending and weighing equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Documentation: Complete batch records, logbooks, and other required documentation accurately and legibly in compliance with cGMP and company policies.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and transfer raw materials, ensuring proper labeling and traceability.
  • Cleaning & Sanitization: Perform equipment cleaning and room sanitization according to SOPs to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Quality Control: Inspect raw materials for accuracy, quality, and expiration dates before use; report any discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE usage, hazardous material handling, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Inventory Support: Assist in tracking raw material usage and notifying the supervisor of inventory shortages or discrepancies.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with production, quality, and warehouse teams to maintain workflow and meet production goals.
