Description
  • Warehousing and Manufacturer of Urethane spray foam and spray foam insulation systems is in immediate need of a Production Operator to add to our growing team in the Woodbridge facility. This person will be an integral part of the team in producing industry leading spray foam for building insulation.
  • Direct hire; not through an employment agency.
  • Starting salary will be between $55K and $60K per year, depending on your previous experience and physical capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Able to drive a propane forklift and have an unexpired license or certificate. (REQUIRED!)
  • Prior experience with mixing or compounding in a MFG environment.
  • You have a valid driver’s license.
  • Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing process and Six Sigma is an asset.
  • You are a CDN Citizen OR have your Permanent Resident status.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required). College or university graduate in Chemistry/Chemicals an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Production: Understanding process fundamentals (GMP)
  • -Able to follow SOP or work instructions in batch manufacturing.
  • -Able to read and monitor various gauges (temperature and pressure gauges) used in production.
  • -Knowledgeable in handling hazardous chemicals and be able to check SDS.
  • -Efficiency within the production process.
  • -Accurate recording of chemicals and their weight being added manually during the batching process.
  • -Collaborating with other team members and departments to optimize efficiency and quality.
  • -Manual dexterity, ability to stand for long periods, and ability to lift 20 to 50 lbs. and manually unload empty drums from the trailer and put them on pallets.
  • -Ability to do minor repair or report any malfunction of equipment to prevent from disruption of operations and for safety.
  • Safety: Ensure that all safety protocols, operational procedures and the use of PPE are followed.
  • Packaging: Ability to prepare drums for packaging this includes but is not limited to: Labeling, opening bungs, putting on caps, filling, and unloading.
  • -Able to package/fill drums on the set amount using the scale.
  • Shipping/Receiving: Ability to receive raw materials and stage them into the corresponding area, and to ensure the correct amount of material and proper documentation.
  • -Ability to unload drums from the trailer manually.
  • -Ability to receive/unload bulk materials. (Preferred but will train)
