As we continue to experience exceptional growth, Pallet Supplies (Mountain Lodge, Co. Cavan) is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Production Operative to join our busy pallet production facility.
This role is essential to the efficient preparation, manufacturing, and repair of timber pallets. The successful candidate will play a key part in the day-to-day operations, contributing to the smooth running of our warehouse and logistics processes. Responsibilities also include assisting with production orders and ensuring effective use of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to support overall team productivity.

Key Responsbilites:

  • Preparing, manufacturing and repairing timber pallets in line with customer product specifications
  • Perform general warehouse duties as required, such as manufacturing of pallets, labelling, wrapping and strapping pallets in preparation for dispatch
  • Daily use of handheld device and ERP system
  • Follow safety protocols and company procedures while operating machinery
  • Track and document inventory in compliance with company policy and procedures
  • Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
  • Maintain a high standard of quality across all production outputs, ensuring all products meet company specifications and customer expectations
  • Participation in ongoing training and development
  • Assist in other departments as needed, offering flexibility to support the business’s evolving

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ working in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating a forklift advantageous
  • Valid forklift certificate advantageous
  • Comfortable using handheld device for inventory tracking and task management (no formal computer skills required)
  • Experience in ERP software (Enterprise Resource Planning) and/or internal inventory database
  • Strong technical ability, as in can pick up IT/technology quickly
  • Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures
  • Working knowledge of computer production programs preferable
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Energetic, hard-working and enthusiastic
  • An excellent team player
  • Strong communication skills
  • Can-do attitude

Working Hours; Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:00.
